La Zone Portuaire

Over the course of its history, the Old Port of Chicoutimi has been transformed and developed into the most important recreational and cultural complex in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, focusing in particular on modes of visual expression, performing arts, festive gatherings of all kinds, bazaars and travelling exhibitions. Since its official inauguration on July 23, 1992, the Chicoutimi harbour area has become a popular meeting place in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region and has become part of the local way of life.
